In 2020, Shell began the process of reducing printed media inside their petrol stations in Hungary. They reached out to Mood Media for a digital solution for their windows and shops. While Shell’s initial idea was TV signage, they were impressed by the reliability and versatility of LG’s SM5KE. The 24/7 operational ability was important for the all-hours petrol station business, while the 450nit brightness was crucial for making sure signs were seen clearly in any type of light. The monthly rollout to petrol stations across Hungary began in 2020 and will continue until at least the end of 2021.
